Congratulation to Nicole Redvers, finalist for the BDC Youth Entrepreneur Award

YELLOWKNIFE (June 11, 2014) – The Northwest Territories Business Development and Investment Corporation (BDIC) and the Department of Industry Tourism and Investment (ITI) would like to congratulate Dr. Nicole Redvers for being chosen as a national finalist for the prestigious Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) Youth Entrepreneur Award Competition.

Dr. Redvers and her team of ten practitioners and three staff at the Gaia Integrative Clinic have been a client of the BDIC for over two years, subscribing to both the Business Development Project Fund and the BDIC’s loan program. Her business is a team-based wellness centre offering clients in the Northwest Territories eight different services.

“The BDIC’s programs helped me move my business from a small home-based operation to expand to its current location,” said Dr. Redvers. “It is sometimes difficult for someone with a student loan to get traditional financing and the BDIC was there to help me build my practice.”

“I want to offer my congratulations to Dr. Redvers and her team. Growing, innovative businesses like the Gaia Integrative Clinic drive the NWT’s economy,” said David Ramsay, Minister of Industry, Tourism and Investment and Minister responsible for the BDIC. “The GNWT is committed to delivering programs and services to continue assisting Northwest Territories entrepreneurs. I encourage everyone to go online to cast their vote and show support for Dr. Redvers.”
