BDIC and Futurpreneur Canada Host Successful Business Bootcamp
YELLOWKNIFE – (July 25, 2016) – The inaugural business bootcamp organized by the NWT Business Development and Investment Corporation (BDIC) and Futurpreneur Canada was held on June 29th and 30th in Yellowknife.
The business training bootcamp which helped 12 young NWT entrepreneurs create and improve their business plans was a huge success. Participant feedback was extremely positive highlighting the benefits from the instructor’s engagement and access to tips and advice from business professionals.
“Providing business training to young entrepreneurs will give them the help they need to achieve success in their future businesses,” said Premier Bob McLeod, Minister responsible for the BDIC. “Services such as these bootcamps are important to create strong businesses to help strengthen and diversify the NWT economy.”
The BDIC and Futurpreneur will be hosting additional bootcamps in Yellowknife with plans to expand to other NWT communities.
