BDIC and NWT Chamber of Commerce sign MOU

NWT Chamber and BDIC ink cooperation agreement YELLOWKNIFE (September 4, 2009) The NWT Chamber of Commerce and the Business Development and Investment Corporation (BDIC) are pleased to announce today’s signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

“This agreement opens the door for both organizations to work together on areas of mutual concern and better serve the needs of the territorial business community,” said NWT Chamber President Ann Marie Tout. “BDIC has a wide range of products and services designed to assist new and growing businesses, while our Chamber network provides an ideal avenue for promoting those resources to entrepreneurs around the NWT.”

Memorandum of Agreement between the Sahtu Business Development Centre (SBDC) and the Northwest Territories Business Development and Investment Corporation (BDIC).

The SBDC and the BDIC offer a range of credit and venture capital financing options to their clients.

The Agreement establishes a partnership that will improve the financial support available to NWT businesses, helping to fulfill the mandates of the organizations.

The purpose of the Agreement is to provide for joint client transactions in order to enhance the financing options offered to clients. This will also enable the SBDC to entertain loan applications for amounts exceeding its lending limit.
